A must do when you are in Lapland!

 

This is THE way to experience the untouched nature in Sweden. Just you and the sound of the sled gliding through the snow with the rhythm of the dog paws will make this an unforgettable holiday.
You can choose to sit on the sled and be driven or drive a sled yourself with your 'own dogs', even when you have no prior experience.

You can go on a short coffeetrip, a lunchtrip of 3 hours, daytrip or multiple day trip.

5 - 6 hour trip: 3000 SEK (incl lunch)
1 person or two persons private sled with own dogs: 300 SEK surcharge per sled

Snowscooter

To get anywhere far off road, you need a snowscooter! This is the main means of leisure transportation in Lapland, Sweden.

 

In winter a secondary infrastructure arises in Sweden.
This crosses forests and frozen lakes to get to places that are unreachable in summer.
So get a scooter on your holiday and get on a scooter safari!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Prices 

2 hour coffee trip:

- Two persons on 1 snowscooter: 1300 SEK per person

- Two persons on own snowscooter: 1300 SEK per person + 1 x 600 SEK surcharge

 

4 hour trip including lunch:

- Two persons on 1 snowscooter: 1500 SEK per person

- Two persons on own snowscooter: 1500 SEK per person + 1 x 600 SEK surcharge

- 2 day mountaintrip including night in cabin: 5000 SEK per person

- 4 day mountaintrip including night in cabin: 10000 SEK per person

- 6 day mountaintrip including night in cabin: 15000 SEK per person

 Icehotel

icehotel

A must see for every visitor to Lapland, The Icehotel. The original was first build in Sweden. This can make a nice day trip because the Icehotel is a 2 hour cardrive away from Porjus so you can get a look at the Arctic landscape on the way. You can combine it with a visit to Kiruna, the mine town of the North.

 

The Icehotel is not very reachable by public transport, so a car is needed.

 

The daytime entrance fee is 325 SEK (2013)

 

 

 

 


 

Nordic skiing

nordic skiingGet your skies under and enter the Swedish forests and cross Lapland lakes. Near every accommodation there are always tracks that lead you into the last wilderness of Europe. If you are lucky you can meet reindeer and elk.

Alpine skiing

In Dundret are blue to black slopes for the beginner and experienced. Snowboard is allowed on some of the slopes. Ski rental is on site.
Dundret is not reachable with public transport.
