Car rental
Having
your own car at your disposal is the best way to get around and explore
the region.
You can rent your car locally in Porjus. Just include this in your reservation and we will deliver your car at the Gallivare airport or railway station. You will have a 2006 Opel Astra station wagon at your disposal. The car is equipped with spike winter tires.

The driving
Driving
in Lapland is different. Since the nature here is very abundant, animals
are too. They will use the same road that you are driving on, so don't be
surprised if you see a moose or a group of reindeer blocking your way. You
will be driving on pure snow wherever you go, so your brakes will not react
like you're used to. Although your car will be equipped with spike tires,
expect you will need 4 times the space to come to a complete stop! Know
your car's limitations and don't speed on snow and ice.
